Fruit Warehouse | Lobi-lobi ( Flacourtia inermis ) | Lobbies (Flacourtia inermis) is a fruit tree that originated the tropical Asia including Malaysia. This annual plant is in English called batoko plum, and also planted in the New World tropics. Was planted as a shade tree and its fruit is taken. People call it lubi-lubi Minangkabau, Batak, and people call it balakko.
Leaf blade is oval shaped, 8-20 cm long, 3-15 cm wide. Buni fruit, round, seedy, 1-3 cm diameter. Fruit skin soft, smooth. Young fruit yellowish green when ripe dark red fruit skin to purple-black. Fruit taste sour to very sour, sometimes sweet or Sepat. The pulp contains little water.
